The advantages to upgrading your monitor, part 2

'twas playing Rubicon earlier, and I think the differences in experience between my old monitor and the new one can be summed up thusly:

CRT: incredibly dark even with the brightness jacked up, the internal settings set to "really light" or so, and my room's lights turned off.

LCD: I can actually see things by default; also, HUD text is somewhat sharper. "Honk If You're An Underpaid Cyborg" was much easier to navigate this time.

Indeed. XD Maybe if I don't get distracted by ten million other things, I'll try playing Rubicon some more and see how different the experience is in other levels ("I'd Rather Be a Lutefisk" and "We Dream You" come to mind).
