Let's imagine the Rozies as D&D characters
Jun. 4th, 2019 02:13 amLet's type out this thought experiment that I haven't gotten around to drawing before I forget that it crossed my mind in the first place. (Important note: to simplify things a bit, I'm using what's now the Omni Strain version of Joyeuse [the agender pink-haired one] rather than Inm!Joy and Preci.)
* Vince: human ranger with a proficiency in firearms. He actually used to be a paladin, but isn't willing to discuss that period of his life; Vince would rather focus on protecting people and managing his party.
* Cassandra: human cleric and Vince's sister. It's said that she serves a neutral god and had a bad experience with some so-called "lawful good" types. Skilled in divination.
* Durandal: tiefling wizard. Distrustful of humans, he still ended up partnering with (and falling for) Vince following a mishap. Fond of water and dark magic, and doesn't like to admit that he's the squishy variety of wizard.
* Cortana: tiefling fighter. Loves exploring, and if Durandal isn't the one directing the party to a new area, it's her. Good at messing people up with her quarterstaff.
* Joyeuse: elf bard. Joyeuse played for dubiously-appreciative royal courts, before deciding that helping people was more their calling. Rarely sings in Common.
* Haller: aaracockra paladin. It seems that he became the latter more out of pragmatism, as he'll bend the rules as far as they'll go if he believes the situation calls for it. Slightly annoyed that he's the only member of the party who can fly.
* Charlie: human monk. An incredibly timid young man who prefers peaceful solutions to most conflicts, yet seems to be dealing with a lot of repressed anger. Really needs to work on the spiritual aspect of his class.
* Lysander: half-elf sorcerer and Charlie's cousin. Bitter and reclusive; Vince and co. had to fight him before he agreed to follow them. Exclusively wields dark magic and gets angry if you bring up his human heritage.
* Zaelnil: goliath barbarian. Positively puny for a goliath, but no less powerful than her average-sized brethren. Delights in bothering Haller.
* Lovelace: centaur cleric. The group's medic and, to her irritation, often Vince's steed. She and Lysander frequently team up to cut down foes (or to help Sandy around town).
* Rasputin: tiefling rogue. Claims to be "from around here", but keeps making references to bizarre things and people, particularly a figure known as "the Lady of Pain". It seems that he joined Vince's party in search of something.
"One of these days I'll draw the D&D!Rozies," I say as I think of all the un-drawn ideas I had...
(I was gonna make Vince a kalashtar and have his quori be Sophia, a potential Inm. character that would take a few paragraphs to explain, but what I had in mind conflicted with how kalashtar and quori actually work...)
