As I type this, we've been home for about five minutes or so. Short version: Freaking awesome, aside from that tornado warning.

Reaching VBC South Hall was a bit of a trek, since the parking garage we normally go to was full, but we did make it without my legs giving up or anything (I'm not exactly a track person).

The way the expo is laid out is, the main body is devoted to vendor booths with signing lines off to the side. Didn't get to speak to any of the guests, but I did find lots of good stuff among the vendors. Later, I hung out in the tabletop room and played a dragon-themed card/dice game with another con-goer.

This got me a ticket for a raffle, which would've been nice if said raffle wasn't being held at 5 PM (spoiler alert: we couldn't stay that long, so I let the folks there know).

While trying to figure out what to do, we all got tornado warnings on our phones. As soon as it was safe, a ton of people split; South Hall was considerably less crowded by the time we left. Thankfully, our drive home was timed just so that the worst of the rain had subsided.

Basically: Lots of stuff to see there, and I kinda hope Hamacon takes a page out of the expo's book.

And, if anyone was wondering what I found there--three Star Trek TNG Playmates figures (Geordi, Data, and Worf), some Funkos (Allura, Pidge, and Canti from FLCL), five Copic markers, and an SD Wing Gundam model kit. The downside is that I'm broke. XD;;
