Aside from the Huntsville Comic Con at Lowe Mill, we also get the Comic Expo, normally held a couple months later. I don't think I need to explain why they pushed it back to July this year (and given how relatively new it is, I'm not sure they could afford to cancel).

I had some reservations about going until the con made masks mandatory. (Which they ought to be everywhere until that curve hits a flat zero, but I digress)

My main concern besides accidentally getting the Devil's con crud (fingers VERY crossed) was that it'd be jam-packed, but there actually weren't as many people there as last time; about on par with the final Hamacon. Most of the con floor was dedicated to vendors, with the back end (where the few guests who stayed on were signing) very empty-looking. In addition to "no mask no entry", the aisles were widened up to make it easier to maintain safe distance from other con-goers.

We didn't stay very long (I really didn't want to risk using public bathrooms in this environment); only about an hour and a half, if that. But it meant that we got to enjoy the con without feeling wiped out afterward. XD

There were many things I saw that I considered buying, but ultimately didn't (some sci-fi books, an Extra Knights Sephiroth, edgy monster girl figures that came with lots of accessories that their limited articulation wouldn't let them make much use of, Darkstalkers figure-statuette things, etc.). What I did grab were three Power Rangers Lightning Collection figures (Kimberly, Tommy, and Zack with the Dragon Shield), a Vulpix Funko Pop, and a poseable Dragonair plushie, along with a freebie bag from two GameStop representatives. (We didn't stick around for their gift card lottery, though)

What was really nice about finding Kimberly was that I'd tried pre-ordering her on BigBadToyStore a month and a half ago. Lesson learned: only buy stuff BBTS actually has in stock.

Dad took some photos as he normally does, with the bonus of this being for semi-historical purposes--hopefully, there'll be a vaccine available before the next convention we hit. Bug and I posed next to R2-D2. XD

tl;dr our time there was brief, but good. Now to wait on some items I have in the mail...

EDIT: got my dragon Pokemon mixed up.
