Some good things out of the way first: got Funko!Sailor Pluto added to my Christmas stash, and the long wait for figma!Saber 2.0 is nearly over. And not long ago, I found my Phantasy Star Collection cart and have started making a serious effort to play the second game after fumbling around the Sega Smash Pack version years ago.

So, what happened today? 'twas walking around the backyard, since I need exercise, and one of the neighbors' dogs started yapping at me, which set off Mightydog (another one of the neighborhood dogs who constantly barks their fool head off). I wander away for a bit in the hopes that they'll stop. They don't, so I just trudge around to the front yard.

That's where I see someone standing out in (presumably) her own yard, and notice that she's looking at me. I wave; she waves and starts walking over, I go over to her, and it turns out she's ostensibly part of the neighborhood watch and wanted to know why I was walking around the yard. We have a short conversation that's mostly her asking questions about me and my family that Mom would later tell me were none of her business--in fact, Mom hadn't heard anything about there being a neighborhood watch around here in the first place. This person seemed nice enough, but man--not what I was expecting to happen today, and I don't like to think about what could've happened if I hadn't gone over to talk.

Huh... That's kinda like "Big Brother is Watching You." Kinda scary but also nice that a watch is set up to keep out random vandals. Maybe she is a mom and is looking over the neighborhood before she lets her kids go trick-or-treating?
